We are currently facing a ferocious cyclone in Mumbai. It’s pouring cats and dogs from past 24 hours. The winds are blowing from east to west in the blink of an eye. The clouds are colliding up in the sky. The trees are arching 180 degrees. Roads are empty. There’s not a single human being seen. Animals have found shelter under some shades. The water is gushing out of the seas. The news channels are covering footages live. The IMD is predicting the damages this storm could bring, in the next few hours. Social media is full of stories and updates from people experiencing this weather from their respective locations. Loved ones are checking on each others’ wellness. People around the state are combating connectivity issues. Exams of some students have been postponed. Organizations are working tirelessly to ensure their customers are happy even at this hour. Amidst all this, there’s me. Sitting on my desk, by the window, with an old laptop, a hot cup of tea, and a earphone, enjoying the day, sip by sip. There’s a sweet smile on my face, a rush of energy in the heart and a head full of dreams held up high. While people out there mull over this monster, I’m sitting in peace, doing my thing. Taking the best learning out of this catastrophe.

Because this day is nothing different than any other to me. Sure, the storms aren’t the same. But the life moves at the same pace. Instead of gusty winds, it’s the feeling to get ahead in the race. Instead of clouds, it’s the collision of self doubt and self esteem. Instead of rains, it’s the ticking clock of belief. Instead of water from the sea, it’s the cauldron of patience outrunning with each sway. Encompassed by this, there’s me, moving at my own pace. Regardless of where the world is heading, taking one day at a time. Discovering a little more of self with every passing moment, gathering a little more hope that I will be there some day. For every flower takes it own time to blossom. Voyaging on the journey to the centre of self .
